Zefirelli was bred
in Belgium at Jean Louis and Pauline's famous
Van de Hoge Laer kennel.
Looking back to
when I first saw Beggy & Bagherra of the Two, along with the great grey male Ch Vici de Hauts Bievre, the
two sisters were 6 months old and Vici was in his prime, I was completely
captivated, never before had I
seen such wonderful Belgian Shepherds, from that moment they became the template of
what I wanted to breed. I also vowed to own something from these fabulous
females. I went on to own the very influential Fanfare of the Two, a Bagherra son who carried the
same pedigree as the famous Ch Grimm Van de Hoge Laer, but I was never fortunate
enough to own anything from Beggy. I have always wanted a Van de Hoge Laer, as I
felt the kennel produced consistent quality and the type I felt to be correct I
have waited over 20 years and finally I got my Van de Hoge Laer , as you can see
he was worth wait.
